K-town is really becoming posh...

Just read in the paper that the average household income for a family in the 'Kanata South' riding is over $95,000!

Holy crap! I know real estate here is getting crazy, but now I understand how these folks can afford to buy those 300, 400K monster houses.

I know this is really a sign of how many families have become double income, but standard of living costs usually adapt to what families can afford. That's really going to leave single income households in a bind down the road..

Mom and Dad have been saying this (sink income family is a thing of the past) for about as long as I can remember. $300K no longer gets one a "monster house".

Double income no kids - DINK
Single income numerous kids - SINK !

Holy frakin' crap!

Dude, don't forget that the "average household" has two people working full-time. So take that $110,000 and divide by two. If you're pulling in more than that $55,000, you're doing okay :-)
