I've been busy... ya know?
Busy week last week. No posting. Me sorry.
The PT Cruiser let me down, and then let me down again. And now, again. This problem is being rectified.
As of Wednesday, driving becomes fun again.
No more American built, gas guzzling, handles like a bus, severely underpowered, unresponsive automatic transmission, looks like a hearse in Sara's opinion piece of crap.
Me so happy. If I'd done it 2 weeks earlier, my wallet would have been happier since I would have saved a chunk of money in repairing that damn PT, but I guess I needed a real kick in the pants to take action.
I've come up with a new slogan for Chrysler.
"Chrysler: Never Again"
Think they'll like it?

We used to have a '78 Chrysler Cordoba. That damn car would stop running (wouldn't even turn over, no matter what we did with it) at the very first hint of fall. Then, in the spring, it would start up like it had been running all winter long. The death of that car was when it died in the middle of the left turn intersection during rush hour traffic and I had my 9 month old daughter in the car with me. We sold that ^#($^*% of a car for $250 (best $250 we ever made). Twelve months later, we got a letter from a local police department telling us if we didn't pay the storage/impoundment fees then it was going up for auction. NA NA NA NA, NA NA NA NA, HEY HEY, GOOD BYE!!!! Not our problem at that point. Hope somebody bought it for parts because otherwise, they got stuck!!
We lease now and have been for almost 20 yrs now and we're very happy getting a new car (2 new cars) every 2 yrs. No more repairs, no problems, and we get a new car just about the time we start getting bored. Works for us. However. no foreign cars for us. We do and will continue to buy American. No more Chryslers tho. Crap company/crap products
Nice wheels,......Now you might have a chance with me!!!!
Oh c'mon... the PT was SUCH a honeywagon!
:p
Sure was... if the honey's like hearses. Which I definitely doubt!!! HAH!
Our next cars are going to be Honda's... maybe Mazda's no more buying American, they might be cheaper, but you pay for it in the end... and really, they have Honda/Mazda/Volvo plants all over nowadays anyway.
Maybe if we were going to lease, but you end up paying more and getting no equity... we're all about the buying.
Yep, we thought about buying. You pay for 60 months and at the end of that time, what do you have? A 5 yr old car that starts needing repairs and then you go out shopping for a new car.
There are diehard for the buying and diehards for the leasing. Leasing works for us. Not saying it does for everybody.
