I think I want to be adopted!

Didn't get a chance till now to talk about the bachelor party I went to last weekend.. it's been busy times both at home and at work. When they announce another 1900 layoffs, you want to make sure people see you working!

So yeah, my buddy Sasha who's getting married in Mexico (lucky bastard) had his bachelor party last Friday in T dot. So Thursday after work him, me and Matt drove up in our rented white G6 (everyone thought we were cops!). I had cleverly put some Smirnoff Triple Blacks in some water bottles for the trip up. Matt was driving, but me and Sasha we're pretty drunk even by the time we got to Arby's in Kingston. (I will save my story of my love affair with Arby's for another time). We broke out the trivial pursuit cards to pass the time.. first to 20 would be the victor. Naturally, it was me. :)

So we got to Woodbridge (Sasha's folks) at about 7pm. It was good to see his folks again.. fun people. His Mom loves Jade, I thought she was going to steal her last time she was in town. And then the drinking and the food started. Wow, and I thought my parents liked their wine.. those folks know how to have a good time! And the fooood.. oh the food. :) We were up till 1 or 2.. chatting and drinking in the back yard which is the best back yard I've ever seen!

The next day Sasha and Matt were up early cause they had to dial into work, the suckers. I just watched soccer and movies.. and drank. Decided to nap around 2 or 3.. actually we all did and woke up around 6pm, just in time for dinner and more drinking. The other bachelor party participants slowly made their way to the house while the drinking continued (and the bottle of Tequila made its first of many appearances). By 9pm (I'm already buzzing at this point) the limo bus arrives and we all get on. This thing was awesome.. basically like a tour bus. There was 12/15 of us and we had plenty of room. Tequila bottle was passed around the bus.. this might already been the 2nd tequila bottle.. memory gets fuzzy.

First stop is a strip club named.. get this.. 'Whiskey A Go Go'. Sara, any connection?? ;) What happens in the club stays in the club. But I will say this: One of the performers danced her entire set to Celldweller, which is a band that I love but no one I have ever talked to has heard of. Love at first sight! ;)

Second stop was 'L'Hotel' or something like that.. a dance club in downtown T.O. A friend of Sasha's brother is a co-owner, so they had a table and 10 bottle of booze set aside for us. Very nice. A lot of fun. I was already 'happy' by the time we got there so I didn't drink much more. Was too busy being a dancing fool. When Scott is drunk, he'll dance to just about anything. Fun times. We stayed till closing time, then back on the bus to Sasha's.

I was proud of Sasha, he was in actual good shape that night.. a lot better than some of the other folk! We had some casualties for sure. One poor guy didn't make it that long into l'Hotel... others were passed out on the bus. I was wired, just wired. Didn't even want to go to bed when we got back.. but I did. And slept till 1pm! :)

I was going to talk about the rest of that weekend, but this has gone on long enough.. It was simply a really good time and a real nice break from the Ottawa routine. I told Matt and Sasha that we have to try and find an excuse to do that on a regular basis. I want to be adopted by Sasha's parents!

Was the stripper dancing to "Frozen" I seem to remember that song has a line that goes, "when her legs are open" or maybe I just hear it that way......seems appropriate for a stripper.....

Wow, did you google that or did I underestimate Alley's music knowledge? I guess I have to give you credit.. being a DJ and all..

But yes, you're right.. Frozen was song number 3.. "Inside this fantasy, it seems so real to me, synthetic ecstasy when her legs are open.." That was the real cool thing.. she danced to Frozen and I Believe You, which are my two favourites.

lol, that almost led to a spittake.. but would have been a waste of perfectly good rum!

A thousand apologies for underestimating Alley, the great musical know-it-all.. ;)

Damn, I feel like my special little stripper moment has been... cheapened.
