Lost... till February!!

Well, because of YouTube slowness and the fact that I'm down to less than 1.5 hours to post, I'll have to modify today's topic from my original intent. You'll have to wait till tomorrow for uterus exploding content, sorry Leslie!

I just finished watching LOST (Kate and Sawyer did the sex act!) and apparently this is the last new episode until FRAKING FEBRUARY!?!? Ugh!

Apparently, they're doing this because they had a lot of complaints how last season they'd show 1 or 2 new episodes and then go into repeats for 3 weeks, then show a couple more new episodes followed by more repeats. Yes, I have to agree, that was really annoying. However, I don't think putting the show on hiatus for 3 months is the answer either. They're risking a whole bunch of people losing interest in the meantime and perhaps never tuning back in. Viewership is already down this year due to last year's poor scheduling.

May I suggest something for future seasons? Don't worry about starting new episodes in September or October if you can't show at least 12 without taking a short break. Here's a novel idea: Get ALL the episodes ready before starting to air them, so you don't have to show ANY repeats. If it means starting the season in November (hey, Medium's doing it!) then so be it.

I'm very disgruntled that I have to wait so long for my LOST fix.. :(

It may not be possible/feasible to have all the episodes ready ahead of time. If that's the case I think they're doing the right thing. Either way they're going to risk losing viewers, but I think the risk is greater if there is no consistency: "Hey honey, is it a new Lost tonight?" "Dunno, it seems totally random!" "Okay, let's steal kids' candy instead!" At least if they air the episodes in predetermined, well-advertised blocks, a guy knows when to tune in. And even better, while "Lost" is off, they can put in a new series for a run of say a dozen episodes, then switch back to Lost, then back to the new series. In theory they could get away with NEVER showing repeats!

Sheesh, c'mon. Like that's some huge spoiler. They've been longing to have sweaty jungle sex with each other since the show began.

Now if it had been Hurley and Charlie gettin' it on, that would have been a spoiler!

The biggest surprise in that episode was the appearance of Nathan Fillion! COOL!
