Either very brave or very dumb

Every year I participate in Tour Nortel, a cycling, skating, walking charity event for CHEO, the local kids hospital. This year, they're offereing a 70km cycle. Never one to shy away from a challenge, I'm going to give it a go. Last 3 years I've done only the 30km, but have felt like I had more gas in the tank. I used to do the 50km, but that was a few years ago now! I haven't been on my bike yet this year, and only started *training* on the bike in the gym yesterday (my bum hurts). Still I'm confident, I do feel I'm at my healthiest point in a long while. I've had a few people say I'm nuts for trying, we'll know for sure on May 7th!

Speaking of Tour Nortel, I'm still short of my fundraising total. If you don't hate children and wish to help out, you can sponsor me through this convenient web link. At a minimum, you can read why I want to support CHEO so much.

Watch out, Canadian Idol!

Yesterday Jade learned to sing her first complete song chorus:

"Cheer up sleepy Jean!
Oh, what can it mean to a
Daydream believer and a
Homecoming queen!"

(Name that song and artist)

She then proceeds to repeat this a dozen times. She doesn't have bad pitch either!

Of course, she won't sing in front of other people so everyone I tell think I'm just making it up. I might just have to get it on tape.

See how important momentum is in hockey?

Ottawa - 4 unanswered goals
Colorado - 5 unanswered goals
New Jersey - 5 unanwered goals
Montreal *6* unanswered goals

The Ottawa game - how many Sens fans out there were feeling exactly what I was after 2 periods. Peppering Tampa with shots and no goals, they get a goal on a 5 on 3, the Sens not acting the way the did all year. "Aw, shit. Here we go again." Whatever Murray said to them in the 3rd period worked. Hopefully the boys can keep it up.

Sad to hear about Redden's mom. He must be going through 1000 different emotions right now.
